Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky spoke by phone with New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins. The President thanked the Prime Minister for his participation in the training of the Ukrainian military and discussed with him the support of the country. The head of state wrote about this on his Twitter page.
“We discussed the importance of consolidating the countries of the Pacific region to support Ukraine,” the message says. Its on Monday, May 1st, quotes “Gazeta.ru”.
Zelensky counts on continued cooperation with New Zealand. The President noted that the interaction between the two countries concerns defense and humanitarian issues.
New Zealand has been actively supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian special operation. The authorities of this country have imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation several times. At the end of last year it became known that New Zealand send to Kyiv $2 million for humanitarian aid.
