Alexander Zavyalov has been appointed head coach of the Vityaz hockey club. This was announced on Tuesday, May 2, in the press service of the Moscow Region team.
In club toldthat he will lead the team in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) 2023/24 season. It is noted that the 53-year-old specialist has been working at the club since 2022.
Vityaz is a hockey club that plays in the KHL. Based in the city of Balashikha, Moscow Region. The club was founded in 1996. The team finished sixth in the Western Conference last season. Vityaz was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs, losing to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl with a score of 1:4.
Alexander Zavialov is a Russian ice hockey coach. Born October 28, 1969. He worked as an assistant coach in Khabarovsk “Amur”, Nizhnekamsk “Neftekhimik”, Chelyabinsk “Tractor” and Kazan “Ak Bars”. Champion of the KHL and winner of the Gagarin Cup (2018) as a coach.
