On the evening of Saturday, May 6, warehouses with gunpowder caught fire in the Sverdlovsk region. Explosions sounded in the Rzhev city district. About it writes RIA Novosti with reference to a representative of emergency services.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, the preliminary reason is the transfer of fire from a forest fire to nearby buildings.
In the village of Pervomaisky, two warehouses with gunpowder caught fire. The fire threatens 18 neighboring warehouses, which also store gunpowder, transmits TASS with reference to emergency services. About 400 people live in the village.
Head of the Rezhevsky urban district Ivan Kartashov reported that local residents are being evacuated. “Points of temporary accommodation accept people,” he said.
According to preliminary data from the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there were no casualties. A message about a fire in the Rezhevsky urban district was received at 20:27 Moscow time. “The area of the fire is set,” – added in the department.
Large fires raged in the Sverdlovsk region at the end of April. In several villages, literally in a day, about 178 buildings burned down, including 134 residential buildings, 32 non-residential buildings, eight country houses and two outbuildings. emergency services were able to defend more than 1200 residential buildings in the settlements of Tayozhny and Sosva.
