Blockade of Leningrad turned 81 years old

Valentina Iosifovna was born in the village of Novoselki near besieged Leningrad in May 1942. Until the age of 20, she lived in Leningrad, worked in a factory. Then she moved to Nes, where she worked in a fish farm for 24 years. Valentina Kotkina was awarded the sign “Inhabitant of besieged Leningrad”.
Since 2010, Valentina Iosifovna has been living in Naryan-Mar. She has six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The birthday girl shared the secret of family happiness – first of all, it is important to take care of your loved ones.
– I would like to wish everyone to take care of each other, otherwise people today do not know how to do this. They quarrel, run away, do not know how to forgive, love, they all only think about themselves. After all, our happiness lies in taking care of others, and not living for ourselves. If you give your heart to another, then life is a joy! Valentina Kotkina said.
On May 9, a large material dedicated to the birthday girl will be released on the resources of NAO24.
