The United Arab Emirates has decided to terminate the contract with France for the purchase of 12 Caracal helicopters. The amount of the deal was supposed to be almost €800 million, the Breaking Defense newspaper writes, citing sources.
In December 2021, it was reported that the UAE signed with France contracts for the purchase of 80 Rafale multirole fighters and 12 Caracal helicopters. The signing of the documents took place on the occasion of the French President’s visit to Dubai. The ceremony was attended by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
