U.S. to announce new $300 million military aid package to Ukraine on May 3
The United States of America plans on Wednesday, May 3, to announce a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. Its amount is estimated at $ 300 million. On Tuesday, May 2, the newspaper writes Politico with reference to unnamed officials.
According to him, the new military aid package will include artillery and mortar ammunition, as well as heavy equipment and Hydra 70 missiles, informs RIA News. This is a 70-mm unguided aircraft missile designed to destroy equipment and manpower of the enemy. Manufactured by General Dynamics.
In mid-April, the United States announced another package of military aid to Ukraine. He became the 36th in a row. It included, among other things, ammunition for artillery pieces and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
In early April, Washington allocated the 35th $2.6 billion military aid package to Kiev. It included, in particular, 155-mm and 105-mm artillery shells, 120-mm mortar shells, about 400 grenade launchers and 200,000 rounds of ammunition. The Pentagon said that the States will continue to work with its allies to enable Ukraine to meet its battlefield and security needs.
