The trade turnover of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China from January to April 2023 increased by 41.3% in annual terms. It amounted to $73.148 billion.

Exports from China to Russia during this period increased by 67.2%, reaching $33.68 billion. transmits TASS. Deliveries from Russia to China – by 24.8%, to $ 39.46 billion.
It is also reported that China’s foreign trade turnover for the first four months of 2023 decreased by 1.9%, to $1.94 trillion compared to a year ago. Exports from China over this period increased by 2.5% compared to 2022, to $1.12 trillion.
The Russian Federation mainly supplies energy resources to the PRC. Oil, gas, coal and fuel oil in the first quarter of 2023 accounted for more than 80% of all Russian supplies in value terms. In addition, Russia exports metals, timber, agricultural products, and seafood to China. China supplies cars, consumer electronics, microprocessor units, as well as clothing and other consumer goods to Russia.
The Russian and Chinese leaders announced plans to increase trade between Russia and China to $200 billion by 2024. According to the results of the first quarter of 2023, the trade turnover between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China grew by 38.7%. It reached $53.845 billion.
