Peskov said.

Also at the briefing, the press secretary noted that the attempts of Kyiv and Washington to disown the attack on the Kremlin are ridiculous, since the decision on such attacks is made in the United States, and Ukraine executes them.

Speaking about the reaction of Russian President Vladimir Putin to what happened, Peskov noted that Putin always remains calm and collected in even the most difficult situations.

He added that the Investigative Committee (IC) and the necessary services are investigating the drone attack on the Kremlin.

It is known that as a result of the attack, two copper sheets that cover the dome of the Senate Palace were damaged, there were no other damages.

In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed confidence that the Kyiv authorities were behind these criminal actions.

The day before, on May 3, the presidential press service reported an attempt to strike with the help of a UAV on the Kremlin residence. The incident was regarded as an attempt to assassinate the head of state.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the attack.

On the same day, the Moscow authorities banned drone flights over the capital.

According to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the decision was made to prevent the unauthorized use of drones, which could hamper the work of law enforcement agencies.

Commenting on the attack, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov noted that Russia will respond to the Ukrainian drone attack on the Kremlin when it deems it necessary.

He also noted that the answer would be given “in accordance with the assessment of the threat that Kyiv created for the leadership” of the country.

On the same day, the Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned the Ukrainian UAV attack on the Kremlin, calling the incident a terrorist act.

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that after the drones attempted to attack the Kremlin, there could be no negotiations with the regime of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.

He also stated that the “Nazi regime in Kiev” must be recognized as a terrorist organization.
