Special forces units of the “Southern” group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces disrupted enemy rotations at the forefront in the Lisichansk and Maryinsky tactical directions. There, the Russian military discovered and destroyed seven groups of Ukrainian infantry.
In addition, the rotation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Oleksandr-Kalinovsky direction near the village of Mayorovka was disrupted, reports RIA News. This was announced on Wednesday, May 3, by the head of the press center of the “Southern” group Vadim Astafyev.
He added that anti-aircraft gunners also shot down a Ukrainian Fury-type drone in the Vodiane area. And in the Soledar-Bakhmut direction, two shells of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system were shot down.
In addition, the aviation of the “Southern” group of Russian troops attacked the place of concentration of reserves of the 110th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Avdiivka. The group’s artillery hit an enemy artillery crew and a D-30 howitzer in the Maryinsky direction.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Russian air defense systems shot down three planes Ukrainian Air Force – two MiG-29 multipurpose fighters and one Su-25 attack aircraft. This happened near the settlements of Ulyanovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Mirolyubovka and Veletenske in the Kherson region.
