This was discussed at the weekly operational meeting of the governor of the NAO, Yuri Bezdudny. According to Albert Chabdarov, Head of the Department of Natural Resources, Ecology and Agroindustrial Complex, the expert commission approved the project documentation and the results of engineering surveys, noting the complete elimination of all existing comments.
– At the moment, after close work with contractors and Rosprirodnadzor, we received a positive conclusion from the commission for the reclamation of the search dump. This landfill has long exhausted its resource and is full. For reclamation, a project was needed that meets the most stringent environmental requirements in the Arctic zone. After eliminating all the comments, we achieved a good result,” said Albert Chabdarov.
Governor of the NAO Yuri Bezdudny instructed the head of the relevant department to work out the issue with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.
“It’s great that we managed to get a positive conclusion on this project. I instruct you to work with the Ministry of Natural Resources as soon as possible regarding the inclusion of this object in the federal program. I believe that next year we should deal with this landfill in full, – summed up Yuri Bezdudny.
