The Department of Natural Resources, Ecology and Agroindustrial Complex of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug has begun accepting applications for participation in the drawing of lots for obtaining permits for the extraction of elk, brown bear and otter in the publicly accessible lands of the region. This was discussed at the weekly meeting of the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Yuri Bezdudny with deputies and heads of authorities.

— Traditionally, we issue permits for such types of biological resources by drawing lots. Applications will be accepted until July 1, each hunter can submit one application for participation in the draw of one type of hunting resources. Also, everyone can be present at the distribution of permits,” explained Albert Chabdarov.

The head of the region, Yuri Bezdudny, noted that all residents of municipalities, regardless of the remoteness of settlements, should be able to apply for the extraction of hunting resources.

Everyone should have an equal opportunity to apply. Even if the hunter lives in Nes or Harut. Work out this issue with the heads of the settlements, for many it is their daily bread,” the head of the region instructed.

The governor also stressed that the permit distribution procedure should be as transparent and honest as possible.

As the head of the relevant department explained, the procedure for accepting applications for participation in the draw has been worked out with the heads of municipalities. Applications from rural hunters are accepted by mail. The draw will take place in the first decade of July. It will be held publicly by a special commission, which will include representatives of the public.

The application form is posted on the official website in the section “Information for hunters” – “Application forms, samples, details”. An application for participation in the draw can be submitted in the building of the Department (the completed application must be dropped into the box at the entrance to the Department), or sent by mail to the address: 166000, Naryan-Mar, st.
