The Pentagon does not object to other countries sending F-16s to Kyiv
The US Department of Defense does not object to the possible supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine by other countries. Politico writes about this, citing a source in the Pentagon.
“I don’t think we’re against it” quotes newspaper is the interlocutor’s answer to the question about sending these planes to Kyiv by other countries.
At the same time, the source stressed that such a decision had not yet been made by the countries. As the newspaper notes, representatives of the US military have repeatedly expressed doubts about the need for such supplies. According to him, first of all, Ukraine needs air defense systems, artillery, armored ground vehicles, and not fighters.
