The canteen organizes meals for more than 400 students of the Nenets secondary school named after A.P. Pyrerka and a special correctional boarding school

Today, Deputy Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Natalia Sidorova checked how the order of the President of the Russian Federation to provide primary school students with free hot meals is being carried out.

— As part of a working visit, we visited a Nenets secondary school. We looked at how the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation to provide schoolchildren in grades 1-4 with hot free meals is being continued here. Children are happy, they like everything – this, of course, pleases. In addition, during the working meeting, we discussed issues of preparation for the new academic year, Natalia Sidorova explained.

At the moment, in the Nenets secondary school named after A.P. 360 schoolchildren study at Pyrerka, of which 93 people live in the school boarding school. At the same time, the canteen serves not only them, but also 110 students of the correctional school. Thus, two educational institutions of Naryan-Mar work at the same time at the facilities of one kitchen.
We have a 10 day menu. We use the products of local manufacturers – these are JSC Myasoprodukty and JSC Nenets Agro-Industrial Company. Fruits and vegetables in the diet every other day. We are preparing for more than 400 people, given the boarding school. We also prepare dinner for the children of the boarding school, so preparations end at six in the evening. This is the only school with such a work schedule for cooks from morning to evening,” said Yulia Toropova, head of the canteen.

Meals in the dining room are built according to the menu approved by the Department of Education of the NAO. Today, during the vice-governor’s working visit, schoolchildren were fed boiled chicken with mashed potatoes, apple juice, vegetables and fruits. Good quality is noted by the students themselves.

– We are fed deliciously, we like everything very much. I love it when they cook potatoes with a cutlet. I also take buns with sugar, – third-grader Marina shares with NAO24.
As we wrote earlier, from September 1, 2020, students in grades 1-4 of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug receive meals in schools for free in accordance with the presidential decree. The rest of the schoolchildren eat within the framework of co-financing: part of the lunch is paid for by parents, part is financed from the district budget.
