The Ministry of Justice of Russia has included the singer Maria Maksakova in the register of foreign agents, the head of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK is recognized as a foreign agent and an extremist organization, its activities are prohibited in Russia) Maria Pevchikh, the human rights organization PEN Club, Taiga Info edition. The ministry explained that the head of the FBK disseminated opinions aimed at forming a negative image of Russia, called for the overthrow of the country’s leadership. In addition, Georgy Alburov, who is the head of the FBK investigation department, got into the register. In January 2022, Alburov was also included in the register of terrorists and extremists. According to the Ministry of Justice, he disseminated false information about the actions of the RF Armed Forces.

Maksakova-Igenbergs, as noted by the department, called for the provision of weapons to Ukraine, the overthrow of the current government of the Russian Federation.

The registry now also includes military analyst Yan Matveev, political scientist Ivan Preobrazhensky, political scientist Vladimir Pastukhov, volunteer Elena Agafonova, former State Duma deputy Alexander Osovtsov, the women’s socio-political movement “Soft Power”, the Novosibirsk publication “Taiga.info”, the public organization “St. Petersburg Russian PEN Club”, “Crisis Group SK SOS”.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has formed and published a unified register of citizens and organizations that are recognized as foreign agents in the country in December 2022. It is in the public domain. Individuals can be found in it by date of birth, and organizations can be found by TIN and OGRN. Registry updated regularly.
