Berlin wants to deny Russian and Belarusian athletes a German visa in order to prevent them from participating in international competitions in Germany. This initiative was made by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany, Nancy Feser.

“If the Foreign Ministry agrees with me in this position, we will refuse visas to Russian and Belarusian athletes entering Germany,” Feser said. She took part in the conference of sports ministers of the federal states. The event took place in Frankfurt am Main. About this on Friday, May 12, writes RIA News.

The conference participants decided not to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete in Germany. Also at the event, they discussed the possible termination of state funding for the competition if athletes from the Russian Federation and Belarus participate in them, but abandoned this initiative.
