From March 1, 2023, changes were made to the current fire regulations in Russia. They concern, among other things, cooking on an open fire or coals using a barbecue.

As noted by the honored lawyer of Russia Ivan Solovyov, the rules have been simplified. The former did not take into account the modest size of Russian summer cottages, writes R.T. It was possible to make a fire at a distance of at least 50 m from the building. As a result, it turned out that, legally, a summer resident could fry a barbecue only in the middle of a neighboring plot – if there was no house or other buildings on it.

According to the lawyer, among the main innovations that have appeared in the fire regulations are the simplification of the requirements for the use of open fire to burn garbage on the site, as well as for cooking on fire. “Now you can cook food on an open fire or coals if you use a barbecue, barbecue, barbecue or oven, at a distance of 5 m from the building,” Solovyov said.

He noted: it doesn’t matter which brazier is used – manufactured in an industrial way or home-made. There are also no restrictions on the weight, size, type of such equipment.

As for the rules for burning garbage and foliage on the site, now this can be done at a distance of 15 m from residential buildings. When using a non-combustible container, the distance is halved – up to 7.5 m.

Previously, Profile.ru wrote in detail what rules to follow when frying barbecue on the sitenot to get fined. It should also be borne in mind that in some cases it is impossible to make a fire in the country in principle, regardless of where the barbecue area is located.
