The possibility of contacts between Russia and the United States is not excluded, they will continue to ensure the interests of the country. This was announced on Friday, May 5, by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, writes RIA News.
“Of course, any contacts are possible to achieve our own goals, to ensure our interests, of course, contacts will continue, if necessary,” Peskov said.
Thus, he commented on the question of journalists about whether Moscow and Washington can continue contacts, given that the United States denies its involvement in the incident with the UAVs that attacked the Kremlin.
An attempt to strike drones on the Kremlin residence of the President of the Russian Federation Kyiv undertook on the night of May 3. Two UAVs were put out of action, as a result of the emergency, no one was injured. Later, Vladimir Zelensky declared that Ukraine was not involved in the incident, but according to Peskov, the Russian special services have evidence that not only Kyiv, but also Washington is involved in the incident. Attempts by Ukraine and the United States to disown the attack in the Kremlin were called ridiculous.
Former President of Russia stated the existence deep crisis in relations between Moscow and Washington. According to the head of state, it is based on fundamentally different approaches to the formation of the modern world order. The President stressed that Moscow is striving to build relations with Washington on the principles of equality and respect. The Foreign Ministry stated that relations between the Russian Federation and the United States are now are at an extremely low“if not to say the zero level.”
