The heads of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan Emomali Rahmon and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed an agreement on cooperation between the two countries. This was announced on Thursday, May 4, by Tokayev’s press service after the visit of the Tajik leader to Astana.

According to Rahmon, the declaration on allied cooperation will “significantly strengthen the foundation” of bilateral ties. RIA News.

In addition, the presidents signed an agreement on cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries for 2023-2025 and signed a memorandum on joint work between the Centers for Strategic Studies.

Protocols, road maps and joint plans for interaction between the heads of a number of ministries and departments of both countries were also signed.

In addition, Tokayev presented Rakhmon with the country’s highest state award, the Altyn Kyran Order (Golden Eagle). The President emphasized the huge contribution of the head of Tajikistan to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the states.
