The Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine, in particular, to supply weapons to the republic. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra.

Also, the authorities of the kingdom will continue to provide Ukraine with humanitarian assistance and support in the reconstruction of the country. Statement by the head of the Dutch Foreign Ministry on Thursday, May 4, quotes RIA News.

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is currently visiting the country. He arrived in the Netherlands the evening of May 3rd.

Earlier it was reported that the Netherlands together with Denmark bought for Ukraine 14 Leopard 2-A4 tanks. They will be handed over to Kyiv in 2024. The approximate cost of such assistance will be €165 million. The amount will be equally divided between Denmark and the Netherlands.

In February of this year, the authorities of Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands agreed to supply Ukraine with at least 100 Leopard 1 A5 tanks. In April, it became known that in the coming months, Kyiv will be sent 80 pieces of equipment for two tank battalions.
