The Government of the Russian Federation allocated 350 million rubles. on the development and popularization of Russian volleyball. This was announced on Saturday, April 29, in the Cabinet.
At the press office clarifiedthat due to the subsidies allocated to the All-Russian Volleyball Federation, a number of events are planned in the country. In particular:
- Carrying out sports events that will be dedicated to the memorable date. Festivals, retro matches, as well as youth competitions will be held in different regions of Russia;
- The video broadcast service will be improved;
- An Internet portal will be created in the Russian Federation, which will be dedicated to the history of domestic volleyball;
- Filming of educational video programs will be organized.
It is noted that July 29, 1923 is considered to be the birthday of Russian volleyball. In Moscow, on Myasnitskaya Street, the first official match was held that day. The meeting was held between the teams of the Higher Artistic and Technical Workshops and the State College of Cinematography.
In addition, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government of the Russian Federation to provide funding for the preparation and holding of events in honor of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of domestic volleyball.
As Profile.ru reported, in 2023 the Russian government will send about 1 billion rubles. as a grant support for sports federations. Financial assistance will be provided to 43 organizations.
