Eighteen fires on an area of ​​5405 hectares are active in the Tyumen region. On May 12, it was known about 17 fires on an area of ​​​​9399 hectares, writes on May 13 RIA News with reference to the information center of the regional government.

Over the past day, two forest and eleven landscape fires on 4376 and 2100 hectares, respectively, have been put out in the region.

“Nine forest fires on an area of ​​4721 hectares are active in the Tyumen region as of the morning of May 13, one of them is localized. Two new forest fires were recorded on the day of May 12. There are also nine landscape fires on a total area of ​​684 hectares,” – reported in widespread statement.

As of May 13, 988 people were involved in extinguishing natural fires, 168 pieces of equipment were used, as well as five helicopters and an Il-76 aircraft with spillways. During the day, 225 discharges of water with a volume of 1424 tons were produced. The information center clarified that there is no immediate threat to settlements.

Earlier on May 13, it was reported that over the past day, forest fire services managed to put out 112 natural fires in 21 regions of Russia. Fires were recorded on an area of ​​30.912 hectares.
