In the Solomensky district of Kyiv, a tank with diesel fuel was damaged. This was announced on Monday, May 8, in the city military administration of the capital of Ukraine.
As stated in the report, the leak was without ignition, transmits RIA News. It is also noted that “the high-pressure gas pipe was probably damaged.” After that, a gas torch started burning. The gas was shut off and the fire put out.
Earlier, local media reported on the explosions that occurred in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
The Russian military has been regularly attacking Ukrainian defense industry, military command, communications and energy facilities since the fall of 2022. The first such strikes were made on 10 October. As the President of the Russian Federation pointed out, this is a response to the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge and other attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure.
On the night of Thursday, May 4, intensity of attacks on Kyiv was the highest since the beginning of the year. This was stated by the head of the military administration of the Ukrainian capital. The air raid lasted 3.5 hours. Explosions were reported in the city and region.
