REU employee G.V. Plekhanova Associate Professor Ksenia Sadykova said that refusal to maintain order in a summer cottage or garden plot can be punished by a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles.

In a conversation with journalists of the Prime agency on April 29 Sadykova notedthat such an attitude towards one’s own plot is equated with the misuse of land. And in the event of a repeated violation, the object is already being withdrawn from property.

As Sadykova explained, the sanction threatens the owners of plots overgrown with dangerous plants, weeds and dry grass. The creation of spontaneous dumps on the site is also punishable: summer residents cannot accumulate garbage, bury it in the ground or scatter it in the area around the site. The expert clarified that construction debris, glass and bulky waste should be taken out using a special container.

In the event that you find a neglected site, Sadykova said, you can contact the fire supervision service. Experts will draw up an act confirming that the site is abandoned and poses a danger to other summer residents. A similar appeal can be sent to the land control service.

It was previously reported that in 2023, fire regulations that relate to garden plots will have been updated: in order not to get a fine for cooking barbecue in the country, it is important to know the rules.
