604 civilians became victims of clashes between the Armed Forces and the Rapid Reaction Forces (Special Forces) in Sudan. More than 5,000 people were injured during the military conflict. This was reported by Asharq TV channel, citing data from the World Health Organization (WHO).
On May 5, the Sudanese Ministry of Health announced 551 dead civilians. About this on Tuesday, May 9, informs TASS.
Clashes between the Armed Forces and the Rapid Reaction Forces started 15 April. The parties accused each other of the attack. April 25 in Sudan was announced 72 hour ceasefire. April 27 Armed Forces agreed to extend truce for another 72 hours. On May 5, it was reported about the negotiations between representatives of the army and special forces in the city of Jeddah, located in Saudi Arabia.
On May 7, the media wrote that the foreign ministers of the countries belonging to the League of Arab States, create contact group. Its main goal is to resolve the crisis in Sudan.
