Slepakov and Varlamov filed lawsuits against the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation demanding to remove their foreign agent status
The former captain of the Pyatigorsk KVN team, comedian Semyon Slepakov and journalist Ilya Varlamov (both recognized as foreign agents in the Russian Federation) filed lawsuits against the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. They demand to remove the status of a foreign agent from them.
“The court received two lawsuits. One from Slepakov, the other from Varlamov,” they said in the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow. About this on Monday, May 15, writes TASS. A date for the hearing has not yet been set.
Slepakov included in the register of foreign agents 14th of April. Now the comedian lives outside of Russia. According to media reports, the humorist moved to Israel. Slepakov was a screenwriter and producer of TV series (“Interns”, “Univer”, “House Arrest”).
Varlamov recognized as a foreign agent March 23. He is an active YouTube channel. There you can find videos on the topic of urban studies, as well as on the situation in Russia and in the world. As of May 2023, the channel has over 4.1 million subscribers.
