The conflict in Ukraine confirms the intention of the United States and its allies to provoke other countries into a military confrontation with Moscow and Beijing. This was announced on Friday, April 28, by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during a meeting of SCO defense ministers in New Delhi.
“A vivid confirmation of such a criminal policy is the conflict in Ukraine. Its true goal is to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, create a threat to China and maintain its monopoly position in the world,” Shoigu stressed.
According to the minister, to achieve this goal, Washington spent more than $5 million “on the Maidan anti-constitutional coup in 2014.” As a result, a “hostile Russophobic regime” was formed on the border of the Russian Federation, writes RIA News.
Shoigu emphasized that the decision to hold the NWO was made taking into account Kyiv’s refusal to comply with the Minsk agreements, as well as the threat to the residents of Donbass.
The Minister noted that today practically the entire combat potential and capabilities of NATO are involved against Russia. From the side of the Alliance, not only weapons are sent to the NWO zone, but also military advisers and mercenaries.
In an effort to change the system of interstate relations, the United States and its allies create controlled regional alliances, while Washington puts unprecedented pressure on independent countries. Nevertheless, all attempts by the West to change the attitude of its partners towards Moscow suffer a complete collapse, Shoigu added.
