Signing of an agreement between Rusatom Healthcare JSC and the Belarusian enterprise Medtechnocenter for the supply of medical equipment to Belarus

The state corporation “Rosatom” plans to supply Belarus with advanced medical equipment and radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine, the corresponding agreement was signed in Minsk, the press service of the corporation’s division in the field of health reported on May 16.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday by representatives of JSC Rusatom Healthcare, the office of Rosatom in Belarus, the representative office of the Russian Export Center in the republic and the EuroPharmIntegration company, writes RIA News. The agreement was concluded as part of strengthening the healthcare system of the Union State on behalf of the leaders of the Russian Federation and Belarus.

According to the head of Rusatom Healthcare, Igor Obrubov, the medical industry of the two countries has a high cooperation potential. Against the backdrop of sanctions pressure from Western countries, there is an urgent need for import substitution of medical equipment and ensuring the security of the Union State in the field of healthcare, he stressed.

Now Rosatom produces 16 types of medical equipment for the treatment of various diseases, including cancer. In 2022, serial assembly of the Onyx radiation therapy complex began. In 2026, it is planned to start production of MRIs with Russian components.

Previously it was reported that Jordan expressed willingness to cooperate with Rosatom in the field of nuclear medicine.
