In Zaporozhye, residents of 18 settlements will be temporarily relocated deep into the region due to increased shelling by Ukrainian troops, Acting Head of the region Yevhen Balitsky said.

“Temporary movement of residents from the settlements of Timoshovka, Smirnovka, Tarasovka, Orlyanskoe, Molochansk, Kuibyshevo, Prishib, Tokmak, Malaya Belozerka, Vasilyevka, Velikaya Belozerka, Dneprorudnoye, Mikhailovka, Kamenka-Dneprovskaya, Energodar, Pologi, Horse Discord, Rozovka” , – wrote Balitsky in his Telegram channel on May 5.

It is noted that, first of all, the decision of the local authorities will affect children with their parents, the elderly, the disabled, patients of medical institutions. High school students will continue their education in educational institutions to finish the school year, and young children will undergo rehabilitation and recreation in children’s camps, the official said.

Also, in order to ensure the safety of the population of the Zaporozhye region, in the region will limit the holding mass events on Victory Day: there will be no traditional procession of the “Immortal Regiment” and a parade.
