Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip and Israel have reached an agreement on a mutual ceasefire from 22:00 local time (coincides with Moscow), Extra News TV channel reports on May 13, writes TASS.
According to the information available to journalists, the agreement was reached with the active mediation of the Egyptian authorities.
“The agreement includes a commitment to a ceasefire, an end to attacks on civilians and an end to house demolitions,” the statement said.
The report states that official Cairo calls on the Palestinian and Israeli sides of the conflict to adhere to the ceasefire agreement.
Earlier on May 13, several settlements in Israel came under rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. Air defense systems worked on cities Ashkelon and Ashdod.
