Nearly 600 paratroopers from Poland, Great Britain and the Czech Republic are being transferred to the Estonian Nurmsi airfield. They will take part in the Swift Response 23 exercise, which is led by the United States. This was reported at the main headquarters of the Estonian Defense Forces.

During the exercises, it is planned to conduct various airborne operations. Their goal is the rapid transfer of allies and the development of the immediate start of the implementation of the assigned tasks. About this on Tuesday, May 9, informs Interfax.

About 1.5 thousand military personnel from the United States, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia and Estonia are participating in the exercises. The end of the active phase of the exercises is scheduled for May 14.

Swift Response 23 is an international exercise of European and American troops. They are simultaneously held in Estonia, Spain and Greece. Swift Response 23 is part of the large-scale American exercise Defender 23. It is also linked to the Polish exercise Anakonda 23.
