In Moscow, special public safety plans will be in place during the May holidays. On Monday, May 1, about 1,000 employees of the National Guard and a similar number of police officers will monitor the order in the capital. Residents and guests of the city with the help of special technical means will be checked for the presence of prohibited items. Moscow will also take anti-terrorist security measures. Particular attention will be paid to the protection of television and radio broadcasting and life support facilities of the capital, government buildings and important structures.
In addition, the investigative and operational groups of the internal affairs bodies will be strengthened. They will quickly go to the place of possible incidents.

For those who work five days a week, the official rest will last three days. There will be four working days – from May 2 to 5. After that, the second May holidays will begin.
