The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia proposed to abolish state control in the field of migration and introduce administrative supervision over the stay of foreigners in the Russian Federation. This will ensure migration security, according to the department.
The Ministry has prepared a relevant bill. Document published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts on Friday, May 5.
It is planned to identify foreigners who do not have or have lost legal grounds for staying in Russia and working in the country. To them, as well as to those who violated the rules in the field of migration, “legal measures of influence in accordance with the requirements of the law” will be applied.
Administrative supervision will include posting in the public domain information about the requirements in the field of migration and responsibility for their non-compliance, prevention and suppression of administrative offenses and crimes in the field of migration.
