The National Institute for Migration (NIM) of Mexico has ordered that it stop issuing transit permits to migrants bound for the United States. This is reported by the newspaper El Universal.
“NIM has also directed all immigration offices in all states not to issue a migration form or other documents authorizing transit through the country,” the publication quotes from an official document.
