The head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev and his Kyrgyz counterpart Ulan Niyazbekov put their signatures under the intergovernmental agreement on information cooperation in the law enforcement sphere, informs May 9 “Ministry of Internal Affairs Media”.

It is also known that during a meeting with his foreign colleague, Kolokoltsev noted the friendly and multi-vector nature of the partnership between law enforcement officers of Russia and Kyrgyzstan and expressed confidence that cooperation between the countries would continue to be strengthened in the interests of the security of citizens of the two states.

Kolokoltsev also highly appreciated the importance of multifaceted interaction in the formats of the CIS, the EAEU, the CSTO and the SCO and voiced the opinion that “all attempts by the collective West to bring discord into relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan will remain fruitless.”

Kolokoltsev also announced his readiness to continue to help his colleague in the field of personnel training, including in the fight against cybercrime.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation congratulated Ulan Niyazbekov and, in his person, all veterans and employees of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs on Victory Day and recalled the importance of preserving the truth about the events of the war years for posterity and broadcasting common values ​​and traditions of fraternal friendship of peoples.

A meeting between the Prime Minister of Russia and the President of Kyrgyzstan also took place the day before. The head of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers announced the interest of the Russian Federation in strengthening trade and economic cooperation with the republic. The head of government said that Kyrgyzstan is a strategic partner and an ally of Russia.
