In connection with security measures in the Zaporozhye region, mass events on Victory Day will be limited. There will be no traditional Immortal Regiment procession and parade in the region. This was announced on Wednesday, May 3, by the Acting Head of the Zaporizhia Region Yevhen Balitsky.

He noted that it will be possible to take part in the Immortal Regiment campaign online. Another option is to post photos of your characters on social networks, in the window of a house or car. You can also talk about them on the radio, shared Balitsky in his Telegram channel.

“On the part of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, not a single veteran will be left without attention,” the acting governor of the region added. He also said that he had signed an order establishing an additional non-working day. Residents of the Zaporozhye region will have a rest not only on Victory Day, but also on the next day – May 10.

Not only Zaporozhye region, but also Kherson refused to hold mass security events on Victory Day. The authorities of the Bryansk region took a similar step. There will be no procession of the “Immortal Regiment”, a parade and other mass events. In the Oryol region, the parade on Victory Day, fireworks and an evening concert were also canceled.
