The authorities of the Moscow region have decided to introduce a ban on the launch of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). They will not issue permits for their flights. This decision was made back in April at a meeting of the operational headquarters of the region.
About it reported in the press service of the governor and the government of the Moscow region on Wednesday, May 3. An exception is made only for aerial work, which is carried out by operational services and public authorities.
On May 3, Moscow also banned the launch of UAVs. The decision was made to prevent unauthorized use of drones, which may make it difficult the work of law enforcement agencies, explained the capital’s mayor. On the night of May 3, the Ukrainian side aimed two UAVs at the Kremlin and tried to use them to strike at the Kremlin residence of the President of Russia. The military and special services were able to eliminate the drones in time.
Not only in Moscow and the Moscow region banned the use of drones. This decision was previously made by the authorities of a number of Russian regions. The list includes, in particular, Stavropol, Orenburg, Ryazan, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm regions, Primorsky and Krasnodar regions. A similar ban is being worked out by the authorities of the Kaliningrad region.
