A large landscape fire was extinguished near the village of Mariinka in the Novosibirsk region. This was announced on Wednesday, May 10, by Viktor Orlov, head of the EMERCOM of Russia for the region.

Employees of the emergency rescue service during the patrol revealed a focus of a landscape fire with a front of one and a half kilometers. It is specified that 36 people live in the village to which the fire was approaching, writes “Sibkrai”.

According to Orlov, all necessary measures were taken, including the evacuation of the population to safe areas. “The fire has been extinguished, there are no dead or injured,” he said.

It is noted that 1,155 fires were eliminated in the Novosibirsk region during the week, of which 996 were burning dry vegetation. 2.197 thermal points were identified, of which 96% were confirmed as landscape fires. 828 large landscape fires were also recorded.

In addition, 109 forest fires were recorded in 22 districts of the Novosibirsk region. Their total area is more than 627 hectares. As of the morning of May 10, there were five fires in the region with an area of ​​more than 57 hectares.

As Profile.ru reported, the fire started in the Kargatsky district in the west of the Novosibirsk region along the federal highway. According to the head of the district, the fire is of a landscape nature, along the highway the forest is not on fire. The head of the district noted that there is no threat to settlements.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia said that fire season introduced in 78 subjects of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the fire situation is expected to deteriorate in 15 regions in the Far East, Siberia, the Volga region and the Urals in the near future.

Against the backdrop of serious fires in the Russian Emergencies Ministry suggested make the owner liable for any fire on his land. At the same time, they want to lay responsibility on the owner even if other persons commit illegal actions on his site.
