On the night of Thursday, May 4, the intensity of attacks on Kyiv became the highest since the beginning of the year. This was stated by the head of the capital’s military administration Sergei Popko in the Telegram channel.

“Our city has not felt such a dense intensity of strikes since the beginning of this year,” he stressed.

According to the official, the wreckage fell in certain areas of the Ukrainian capital, but there was no information about damage or casualties, transmits TASS.

At night, an air raid alert was announced in Kyiv, which lasted 3.5 hours. Explosions were reported in the city and region.

The Russian Armed Forces began to strike at the Ukrainian infrastructure two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge – on October 10, 2022. The authorities of the Russian Federation said that the special services of Ukraine were behind the explosion. The targets of the strikes were energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities. In December 2022, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported serious damage to power grids of the country and generation facilities due to strikes by Russian troops.
