In the Kurgan region, a preventive evacuation of residents of the villages of Redkino, Ploskoy, Sladko-Karasinskoye, as well as the Kurgan microdistrict of Topol, the suburban villages of Uval and Smolino, and neighboring garden non-profit partnerships has been announced. The reason was the threat of smoke in settlements from a natural fire.
This was announced on Sunday, May 7, by the regional head office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation. Information placed in the department’s Telegram channel. They clarified that now the fire threatens settlements in several municipal districts and microdistricts of the region: Almenevsky, Belozersky, Vargashinsky, Ketovsky, Mishkinsky, Shadrinsky.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Kurgan region notes that about 700 people and almost 200 pieces of equipment are now fighting the fire in the region. Extinguishing fires is complicated by gusts of wind, which are up to 20 m/s, and abnormally hot weather – the air temperature reaches +28°C.
On April 28, a state of emergency was introduced on the territory of the Kurgan region due to forest fires. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the region.
