Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke by phone with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The parties discussed issues of strengthening relations between the two countries and the practical implementation of the agreements that were reached as a result of bilateral contacts at the highest level.
The heads of the foreign ministries exchanged views on key aspects of the regional and international agenda. Emphasis was placed on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa.
The parties stated the need for the speedy settlement of numerous crises in the region. About this on Friday, May 12, reported press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry in its Telegram channel.
Lavrov talked on the phone with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia at the end of last year. Then the Russian minister told his colleague about certain aspects of the situation in Ukraine in the context of the special operation being carried out by the Russian Federation. Lavrov also thanked the Saudi minister for his position on Ukraine.
