Football club “Ferencváros” ahead of schedule won the Hungarian football championship under the leadership of Stanislav Cherchesov.

The 59-year-old former head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov took charge of this Hungarian club in December 2021. Under his leadership, Ferencvaros became the national champion for the second time. The club also won the Hungarian Cup last season.

Cherchesov previously coached Spartak and Dynamo in Russia. As the head coach of the Russian national team, Cherchesov reached the quarterfinals of the home world championship in 2018.
