ex-president of Motor Sich Boguslaev asked to be exchanged in Russia
Vyacheslav Boguslaev, former president of Ukraine’s largest aviation enterprise Motor Sich, asked to be included in the list for an exchange with Russia. In Ukraine, Boguslaev is accused of collaborationism and complicity with Russia, informs “Kommersant” with reference to the Ukrainian media.
Boguslaev sent a letter to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak. The note is in Russian, it is signed: “Boguslaev, pensioner, disabled person of the 1st group.”
“Please add me to the list for an exchange with the Russian Federation,” the letter said.
Vyacheslav Boguslaev was detained in the fall of 2022. SBU believes that Motor Sich, in agreement with Rostec, is illegal supplied goods military purpose for Russian attack aviation, including aircraft engines for attack helicopters of the Mi-8AMTSh-VN, Ka-52 and Mi-28N types.
Russian state corporation officially denied the allegations SBU in the supply of Ukrainian engines for military helicopters.
Founded in 1907, Motor Sich Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers of engines for aircraft and gas turbines. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Motor Sich actively cooperated with Russia. In 2014, this cooperation was terminated at the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
