Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will participate in the events scheduled for Thursday, including the ceremony at the Akkuyu nuclear power plant, online, reports A Haber on April 26.
“President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend a ceremony tomorrow at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in Mersin via videoconference,” informs TV channel. We are talking about the ceremony of delivering nuclear fuel to the station, which will be held on April 27. A rally scheduled for Thursday with the participation of the Turkish leader was also postponed.
69-year-old Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the evening of April 25 interrupted the interview live in the middle of one of the questions and ten minutes into the show. The politician returned to reporters about 15 minutes later and explained that he felt unwell due to stomach flu (“stomach flu”). He added that he “had a lot of hard work” that day.
After this incident, the presidential representative assured that Erdogan’s health is normal. Erdogan himself announced that he would follow the advice of doctors and would not participate in some campaign events.
The election campaign in Turkey started on March 18. It will last until May 13, when a “day of silence” will be declared. The country’s presidential elections are scheduled for May 14, and the second round of voting can be held on May 28.
