In the village of Olkhovatka, Belgorod region, an explosion occurred, presumably due to a Ukrainian drone. Several houses, a post office, a library and a paramedic’s station were damaged, informed on Wednesday, May 10, the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

“At night, there was an explosion in the village of Olkhovatka, Novooskolsky District. Apparently, an enemy drone exploded,” Gladkov wrote on social networks.

According to the head of the region, to restore the damage will begin today.

The village of Olkhovatka is located about 36 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. Since the beginning of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the Belgorod region has been repeatedly shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since April 2022, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat has been in force in the region. As Gladkov reported, since February 2022, as a result of shelling from the Ukrainian side, 30 people have died in the region, and another 123 were injured.
