Two carriages dived into the Mississippi River after a freight train derailed. It is reported by CNN.

The incident took place on April 27 in Crawford County, Wisconsin. According to the channel, dangerous substances were transported on the train. However, in the cars that ended up after the crash in the river, they might not have been.

“We were told that there was hazardous material on the train itself, but this is not believed to be of concern to the public or first responders at this time, as these cars have been isolated,” said the Crawford County Emergency Management Specialist.

US National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy was unable to confirm or deny this information. According to her, the agency has not yet checked whether there were dangerous substances on the train.
