The Golovinsky Court of Moscow found Colombian citizen Giraldo Saray Alberto Enrique guilty of disseminating false information about the Russian army. This was announced on Tuesday, May 16.
The case was initiated under part “d” part 2 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the RF Armed Forces during a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine”). The Colombian was sentenced to imprisonment for five years and two months, he will serve it in a penal colony, writes TASS.
The court found that in the spring of last year, Giraldo Saray, who had a residence permit in the Russian Federation, was part of an organized group with persons who led his actions from abroad. For money, he provided technical training, as well as the subsequent secret placement of mobile devices in one of the Moscow shopping centers. With the help of them, a mass mailing of deliberately false messages about the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine was carried out remotely to subscribers of Russian operators.
