An increase in the number of flights by Russian airlines to Egyptian Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada is expected in the coming weeks. This was announced by the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Hurghada Viktor Voropaev.
“Currently, about 50 flights are operated weekly from six Russian cities to Hurghada. As far as we know, they are expected to increase both to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh in the coming weeks,” quotes RIA Novosti May 17 Voropaeva.
According to him, Egypt welcomes the return of Russian tourists. This became especially noticeable after the resumption of direct flights from Russia from August 9, 2021. Voropaev called relations between this country and the Russian Federation friendly. They have been like this for many decades, the Consul General stressed. The diplomat added that the citizens of the Russian Federation in Egypt are treated kindly, Russians are loved for their openness and sincerity.
Earlier it became known that Russia and Indonesia are discussing the possibility launch of direct flights and charters between countries. The Russian Embassy in Jakarta noted that this issue is under study.
