Chinese crossovers Lynk & Co went on sale in Russia
Cars of the prestigious Chinese brand Lynk & Co, owned by the Geely concern, began to be sold in Russia with an official guarantee.

Lynk & Co is a premium brand from China launched by Geely in 2016, producing several models on Volvo platforms – the Swedish automaker is also part of Geely. The Lynk & Co models were originally planned to be offered exclusively by subscription or through a direct sales scheme via the Internet, and not only in China: Geely headquarters planned to enter European markets with a new ownership model.
At the moment, the brand is represented in China, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, India. According to sources familiar with the situation, the official entry into the Russian market was scheduled for the first quarter of 2022, but it was postponed and there is still no official information on the timing of the plans.
In Russia, two models of crossovers are offered for traditional sale: the larger Lynk & Co 09 is estimated at 7.2 to 8.4 million rubles. depending on the configuration, and a more compact model Lynk & Co 05 is offered for 5.2 million rubles.
Lynk & Co 09 is a large crossover built on the Volvo SPA modular architecture (it is also used to build the well-known Volvo XC90 in Russia). The dimensions of the Chinese crossover are 5042 x 1977 x 1780 mm with a wheelbase of 2984 mm. Two modifications were brought to Russia: with a 2-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 254 liters. With. and with a “moderate hybrid” system, an 8-speed classic “automatic” Aisin and all-wheel drive. A plug-in hybrid version with a total output of 431 hp is also available. with., also with all-wheel drive. The cars are well equipped: there is a full range of active and passive safety systems and driving assistants, air suspension, ventilation and massage in the front seats, 4-zone climate control and a panoramic roof.
Lynk & Co 05 is a compact cross-coupe built on the CMA platform (Geely Tugella and Monjaro and Volvo XC40 are also based on it). Dimensions – 4592 x 1628 x 1879 mm, wheelbase – 2734 mm. The engine is the same as the larger model – 254 hp. s., the same Japanese “automatic” and all-wheel drive with a BorgWarner clutch.
Previously, “Profile” wrote that Lynk & Co vehicles were recognized as one of the most reliable in China: Experts studied the problems faced by car owners from China within 2-12 months after purchase. In addition to Lynk & Co, the leaders of the rating were Nio, Venucia, the FAW-owned Maxus brand (previously known in Russia through a collaboration with the GAZ Group), Li Auto and Geometry.
