The official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning, called on Ukraine and the Russian Federation not to take steps that could lead to a further escalation of the conflict. Thus, on Thursday, May 4, she commented on Kyiv’s attacks on the Kremlin, transmits RIA News.
“China’s position on the Ukrainian crisis is consistent and clear: all parties should avoid actions that could lead to further escalation,” the diplomat said.
The day before, the Kremlin reported that on the night of May 3, Ukraine attempted to attack the residence of the President of Russia with the help of two drones. It was noted that the drones were eliminated in time, no one, including the head of state, was injured. However, Moscow reserves the right to retaliate when and where it sees fit, the Kremlin said.
At the same time, in Kyiv denied involvement Ukrainian side to what happened. The press secretary of the head of Ukraine said that the country is currently engaged in “liberating its territories,” and Kyiv is directing all available forces and means precisely for these purposes.
