The first start-up of water was completed in the Seversky Donets canal. The canal is being built to supply water to the Donetsk agglomeration.
Water came to the canal from the Don River through the new Don-Donetsk water conduit, which was built by specialists from the Military Construction Company (VSK) and enterprises from all over Russia in four months. About it reported VKS press service in its Telegram channel.
April 30 in the company toldthat the construction of the water conduit Don-Donetsk has reached the finish line. The filling of the hydraulic engineering systems is nearing completion. In parallel, Donetsk is preparing for the arrival of water: the networks are debugging equipment.
Initially, it is planned to release 4 thousand m³ of water per day into the Seversky Donets canal. From there, it will be taken by the operating organization “Water of Donbass” for the needs of Donetsk. Gradually, the capacity of the facility will reach 288 thousand m³ per day. This will provide water to the residents of Makeevka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and Yenakiyevo. The filling of the Makeevka and Verkhne-Kalmius storages will also begin.
